Heat your skillet: Place a non-stick skillet or frying pan over medium heat. Add 1-2 teaspoons of butter or oil, allowing it to melt and coat the bottom of the pan evenly. You’ll know the pan is ready when the butter starts to bubble but isn’t browning.
Crack the eggs: Gently crack 2 large eggs into the pan. It’s important not to break the yolks, so do this slowly. If you prefer, you can crack the eggs into a small bowl first and then slide them into the pan for more control.
Cook the eggs: Let the eggs cook for 2-3 minutes without moving them around. The whites will begin to set, and the edges will turn golden and crispy. Once the whites are fully set, carefully flip each egg using a spatula.
Finish cooking the yolk: Once flipped, cook the eggs for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the yolk to fully set. The key to over hard eggs is making sure the yolk is completely cooked through, so don’t be afraid to let them cook a little longer if needed.
Season and serve: Once your eggs are perfectly cooked, season with a pinch of salt and freshly ground pepper to taste. Feel free to add any additional seasonings or herbs you like.
